So, it is that time of the year again when Strictly starts and this is the start of the countdown to Christmas for a lot of people. But before we get to the festive season, we have a few landmarks to traverse first: Movie Night, Halloween and of course, Blackpool.

In the leadup to this programme, we have been introduced to the celebrities who will be taking part in this year’s show and now it is the time to find out which professional dancer they have been teamed up with.

There is a couple of new professionals, American-born Alexis Warr and from Australia, Julian Caillon.

The judges remain the same as last year: Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas and once again co-hosted by Tess Daley and Claudia Winkleman, (I love her and will be reviewing The Traitors, celebrity version in October!!)

So, here are the celebrities and their professional partners:

They performed a group dance where we had a chance to see the celebrities dancing with their partners.

Now is the time for my predictions for the top four! I am going for:

Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington

Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin

Lewis Cope and Katya Jones

AND MY DARK HORSE:

Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe

Next week, the couples take to the floor for their first dance, but I don’t think there will be an elimination this week!
